Sydney Towle, a New England-born TikToker who has been documenting her battle with a rare cancer for three years, has died. She was 26 years old.
Towle, who was raised in New Hampshire and graduated from Dartmouth, was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive bile duct cancer, in 2023. The New York Times featured her story last year after she became the target of online critics who accused her of faking her diagnosis or using her illness for financial gain.

A 16-year-old Willingboro boy is facing charges following a drive-by shooting, authorities announced Tuesday, Aug. 4.
On Saturday, July 25, officers responded to a report someone had fired multiple shots from a moving vehicle at a family member who was in the front yard, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw and Willingboro Township Police Chief Ian Bucs said. Man Shot, Killed In Camden: Prosecutor
A man was shot and killed in Camden, authorities announced Monday, Aug. 3.
At 9:50 p.m., on Friday, July 31, Camden police responded to the 100 block of North 24th Street and found Edgar Velasco-Hernandez with a gunshot wound, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez said.
He was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead soon after, authorities said. The investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
