Three 13-Year-Olds Arrested After Making Threats Against Schools In Newark: Police
Three 13-year-olds, two boys and a girl were arrested on Thursday, Sept. 26 after making threats against schools in Newark, authorities said.
The threats were intercepted by police, leading to their arrest, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said.
The three teenagers each face charges of terroristic threats, cyber harassment, creating a false public alarm, and harassment, Fragé said.
Police are actively seeking a fourth juvenile male in connection with this incident, Fragé said.

A school board trustee in Warren County crossed the line in trying to have her child's bullying suspension revoked, according to a state ethics board.
Lisa Moyer, a member of the board of education in Allamuchy Township, violated several sections of the school ethics board, after her child was suspended for harassment, intimidation and bullying in 2022, the School Ethics Commission ruled. The board recommended Moyer be reprimanded for her actions in a ruling released in April.
Moyer, however, says she was just trying to defend her son.

Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting, Choking Former Partner In Paterson
A man remained jailed after authorities said he sexually assaulted and choked a former partner in a Paterson residence earlier this week, authorities said.
Saul Huamani-Rosas, a 26-year-old Peruvian national living in Paterson, was arrested on Sunday, April 21, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said.

Ten people were arrested on outstanding warrants in the city, ranging from aggravated assault to being in possession of a handgun, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said.

A 69-year-old Westwood man waged a harassment campaign against citizens who expressed their opinions about various causes in local newspapers, sending anonymous letters to their homes, authorities charged.
Bruce Manning sent the "Dear Delusional" letters to citizens in town and in neighboring Washington Township, Westwood Police Chief Michael Pontillo said.
