Burglar Who Stole $14K In Tools From Cars Busted In Bayonne: Police
A 51-year-old Bayonne man was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 30 and charged with committing five burglaries by breaking into vehicles via the side window in the city in October, authorities said.
Jayson Ruiz committed his first burglary on Saturday, Oct. 7, breaking a vehicle's side window and removing $5,000 worth of tools while the car was parked at West 56th Street and Avenue C, police said.
On Monday, Oct. 9, Ruiz broke a vehicle's side window and removed $1,500 worth of uninstalled audio equipment from a car parked at West 56th Street and JFK Boulevard, police said.

Three men were arrested in Bayonne on Thursday, Oct. 26 after a stolen gun out of Elizabeth was recovered, Bayonne police said.
Police initially pulled over a BMW on 55th Street and Broadway after observing the driver making numerous traffic violations, police said. Police observed, Micah Brown, a 20-year-old Hillside resident, Nazareth Henry, a 20-year-old Hillside resident and Marquis Cenatus, 27-year-old Elizabeth resident, furtively moving inside the vehicle, police said, even after officers ordered them to remain still.

Two Men Arrested For Shooting At Each Other: Bayonne PD
Jancarlos Rivera, an 18-year-old Bayonne resident and James Parks, a 22-year-old Bayonne resident were arrested and charged on Tuesday, Oct. 17 after shooting at each other on Monday, Oct. 16, police said.
At 8:40 p.m., Parks and Rivera were in the area of East 25th Street and Broadway when they encountered each other, police said. Upon seeing each other, Rivera brandished a firearm and fired multiple shots Parks, causing Parks to return fire, police said. Police said vehicles in the area sustained damages from gunshots.

Homeless Woman In Bayonne Stabs, Slashes Two, Police Say
Two women were stabbed and slashed early Friday morning in an attack by a homeless woman in Bayonne, Lt. Eric Amato, a police spokesman, said.
The women, both in their 30s, were walking south on Broadway near 21st Street around 4 a.m. when Yvonne Bell, 40, approached them. Bell knew one of the women, police said.
Bell started a fight with one of the women, according to police. When the other intervened to try to stop the fight, Bell pulled a sharp object from her purse and stabbed and slashed at the victims' faces, arms and shoulders.
