Bergen County Driver Charged In Hit-Run Crash That Killed NY Nail Tech
A New Jersey driver has been charged in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 48-year-old nail technician from Vietnam on the New York State Thruway in May, authorities said. Ardit Lleshi, age 25, of Garfield, was taken arrested on June 30 in connection to the death of Michael Tran, according to New York State Police. Lleshi was extradited to New York on Wednesday, July 13. Tran’s body was found on the side of the road in Albany County on May 30, near Exit 23 in Bethlehem. UPDATE: A 59-year-old gasoline tanker driver from Paterson was killed in a massive fireball during a crash on Route 287 near the New York State border in Mahwah early Saturday, New Jersey State Police confirmed. A tractor-trailer driver from Newark was extradited to New York and charged with a hit-and-run crash on the New York State Thruway that killed two people. A car slid under his rig when Quentin D.
