Authorities Smash Atlantic City-Based Operation That Trafficked Guns, Drugs
Authorities seized nine guns, 14 large-capacity ammo magazines, seven bricks of heroin and more in the takedown of a crew that they said sold large amounts of drugs and guns in and around Atlantic City.
Four men were arrested following a joint investigation by local, state, county and federal law enforcers that included nearly two dozen undercover buys of heroin, fentanyl, meth and firearms, Acting Attorney New Jersey General Matthew J. Platkin announced Thursday, Feb. 24.
Arrested were:

South Jersey Man Admits Trying To Meet Teen Girl Who Was Actually Undercover Detective
A 26-year-old man from South Jersey has admitted to sexually-explicit conversations with a 14-year-old girl who turned out to be an undercover detective, authorities said.
Richard Hoffman, of Mays Landing, pleaded guilty to luring on Monday, Feb. 14, before in connection with a series of events that occurred in Toms River between Sept. 4, 2018 and Sept. 5, 2018, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
Hoffman’s sentencing is set for April 29.

Driver In Head-On Crash That Killed NJ Police Officer Heading Home From Work Charged
A woman has been charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto in a June 2020 crash that left a New Jersey police officer heading home from work dead.
Taquaysha Bell, 29, of Trenton, was heading west on White Horse Pike on June 19, when she swerved into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle head-on, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill announced.

Female Passenger Killed, Male Hurt In Atlantic City Motorcycle Crash
Two people were ejected from their motorcycle in South Jersey, authorities said.
A female passenger was killed and a male rider was injured on Saturday at 8:10 p.m. Atlantic City police said.
Patrol officers responded to the 300 block of North Delaware Avenue.
The passenger, Naisha Peterson, 36, of Mays Landing, was pronounced deceased on scene.
The driver, a 50-year old man from Vineland, in Cumberland County, was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division with serious injuries.
