Cops Catch Man Illegally Passing Stopped School Bus In Yorktown, Police Say A man with a suspended license faces charges after allegedly passing a school bus while it was displaying its stop sign in Northern Westchester, police said.  The incident happened on Tuesday, April 18 around 2:30 p.m., when police in Yorktown noticed a vehicle pass a school bus that was displaying a stop sign and flashing red lights on Route 202, according to Yorktown Police.  Officers then pulled the vehicle over and discovered that the driver, 25-year-old New York City resident Jerlin Veras, had a suspended license and was driving an unregistered motor vehicle, police said.&nbs…

James Hosford was charged with bail jumping in the third degree, a Class A misdemeanor after police pulled him over for a vehicle and traffic infraction and discovered an active warrant out for his arrest Wednesday. Man Possesses Xanax While Driving On Route 6, Yorktown Police Say A 23-year-old Mahopac resident was arrested and charged with possessing Xanax after a traffic stop on Route 6 early Wednesday morning. Shane McDonald was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a Class A Misdemeanor and driving with a suspended license. McDonald was pulled over after police saw he only had one tail light illuminated. Police discovered his driver's license had been suspended multiple times for failing to answer a summons and that he was in possession of Xanax, a controlled substance.
