The incident happened on Tuesday, April 16 around 11:45 a.m., when the Rye Fire Department learned of a vehicle blaze at the intersection of Old Post Road and Playland Access Road. Vehicle Fire Fills Residential Street With Smoke In Westchester
A blaze that engulfed a vehicle on a residential road in Northern Westchester sent a plume of smoke into the air before it could be extinguished by firefighters. The fire began on Sunday, Feb. 11 around 4 p.m. in Somers, when a vehicle went up in flames on Brook Hollow Court, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. Part of a busy route in Northern Westchester was briefly closed after a vehicle went up in flames. The incident happened on Saturday, Sept. 30 around 4:45 p.m., when crews in Somers responded to Route 139 for a reported motor vehicle fire. Firefighters were called to put out a raging vehicle fire on a main road in Northern Westchester. The fire happened on Sunday, Jan. 29 around 1:50 p.m., when firefighters in Yorktown responded to the intersection of Crompond Road (Route 202) and the Taconic State Parkway northbound exit ramp to put out the blaze. Police are investigating a fiery fatal crash in Westchester County. It happened around 9:45 a.m. Sunday, July 17 on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh. Responders were dispatched to mile marker 5.6 northbound for a report of a crash with a vehicle engulfed in flames. It happened around 11:45 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 17 in the area of Saw Mill River Road and Fieldcrest Drive in the Elmsford area of Greenburgh. Seven cars got burned nearly as bad as the New York Jets during Sunday's East Rutherford game against the Minnesota Vikings.
