The fire began on Sunday, Feb. 11 around 4 p.m. in Somers, when a vehicle went up in flames on Brook Hollow Court, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.  Arriving crews soon began efforts to put the blaze out and were able to quickly do so. The incident happened on Saturday, Sept. 30 around 4:45 p.m., when crews in Somers responded to Route 139 for a reported motor vehicle fire. According to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department, arriving crews quickly arrived at the scene of the blaze and doused the flames with water within seconds, quickly extinguishing it. Vehicle Blaze Leaves Car Seared On Busy Westchester Road Firefighters were called to put out a raging vehicle fire on a main road in Northern Westchester.  The fire happened on Sunday, Jan. 29 around 1:50 p.m., when firefighters in Yorktown responded to the intersection of Crompond Road (Route 202) and the Taconic State Parkway northbound exit ramp to put out the blaze.  Just under two dozen firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire, which left the vehicle heavily damaged and burned.  Luckily, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

It happened just before noontime on Tuesday, May 25 in Somers on Route 100 and Elmer Galloway Road. Before arrival by firefighters and EMS personnel, a state trooper applied a tourniquet to a seriously injured driver of one of the vehicles, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.
