New York State Police say they located a vehicle that had run out of gas on I-87 in the village of Sloatsburg on Sunday, June 9 around 1:50 a.m. Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as 44-year-old Vladimir Savichev of Brooklyn, was determined to be intoxicated and had been traveling with his children, ages four and two, inside the vehicle, according to police. Woman Charged With DWI In I-87 Stop Driving Twice Legal Limit, Police Say A woman from Rockland is facing DWI charges after police say she was allegedly driving at twice the legal limit during an I-87 traffic stop. Sunday, Feb. 10 around 3 a.m., New York State Police responded to the Woodbury exit of I-87 on the report of a driver who did not have the funds needed to pay the thruway toll. The driver, 52-year-old Alicia E. Snyder of Sloatsburg, was determined to be intoxicated, police said. Snyder was arrested and transported to SP Newburgh. Her blood alcohol content was found to be .21 percent. Snyder was charged with Aggravated DWI and released to a sober third …
