Brush Fire Breaks Out At Kensico Reservoir Peninsula A brush fire broke out at the Kensico Reservoir peninsula on Monday afternoon, prompting a heavy response from first responders as temperatures topped 90 degrees in the Hudson Valley. First responders were dispatched to the area shortly before 3:45 p.m. on Monday afternoon, just off of Route 120 in Armonk. Local residents reported seeing police cars, fire trucks and helicopters in the area, battling the brush fire. Officials said the fire reached a span of approximately 30 feet by 30 feet.
