As previously reported by Daily Voice, the woman was attacked Wednesday around 11:30 p.m., several blocks from the Metro-North train station on a path that is frequently used by commuters, said White Plains Police Chief Anne Fitzsimmons.
During the attack, the suspect, described as a Hispanic male about 5-foot-6 with a slim build and pointed nose, wearing dark clothing, rode up on a bike from behind, grabbed the woman and took her to a wooded area where she was sexually assaulted, the chief said.
Police are asking anyone who may recognize the man or have information to contact the White Plains Police Department at 914-422-6111, 914-422-6200 or 914-422-6223.
