New School Bus Stop-Arm Camera Program Announced In Westchester To Catch Illegal Passings
Nearly a dozen districts in Westchester will be participating in an all-new enforcement program that will use artificial intelligence to catch those who illegally pass stopped school buses, officials announced. In an announcement on Tuesday, Oct. 22, Westchester County Executive George Latimer unveiled a new school bus stop-arm photo program meant to reduce the number of illegal passing. A Northern Westchester school district has selected a new assistant superintendent who will soon be leaving his current role at another municipality in the county. Students From 15 School Districts In Westchester To Become Science Ambassadors
Students from a total of 15 Westchester County school districts will be participating in the City of Science event in White Plains on Saturday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The City of Science event, which marks the first of its kind to occur outside of the five boroughs, involves both teachers and students working as volunteers and science ambassadors.
