Rowayton Arts Center Shines A Light On 'Brushwork' Exhibit ROWAYTON, Conn. – The Rowayton Arts Center will kick off their 'Brushwork' exhibit with an opening exhibition on Sunday. The event is open to the public, and runs from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibit will highlight the Arts Center members' skills with watercolors, acrylics and oils. Artists will attend, and their work will also be for sale. Judge Roland Bacerra will award the most outstanding watercolor the Walter Brooks Memorial Award, which comes with a $250 prize. Residents Bring Complaints About Construction Noise To Rye City Council RYE, N.Y. – Rye residents continued to protest construction noise from ongoing rock chipping at a recent City Council meeting, according to the Rye Record. The July 8 meeting at Rye City Hall was part of a larger debate on whether to amend local laws regarding noise during the summertime when construction is in full swing. At least 13 developers spoke during the meeting, reported the Record. It was decided that the debate will continue at the next City Council meeting on August 5. Rye Welcomes New City Manager RYE, N.Y. – Marcus Serrano started his new job as Rye City Manager on July 17, a month earlier than expected, noted the Rye Record. Serrano was expected to leave his post as Dobbs Ferry village administrator in mid-August, but was able to assume his new position in time for the July 8 Rye City Council meeting. Spinelli was born on May 21, 1934 in White Plains to Anthony and Elena Spinelli, serving in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 and owning Victor's Italian American Deli in Stamford, Conn. He was predeceased by his parents and seven siblings.
