Fatal I-684 NY Plane Crash: Witness Stopped, Pulled Victim From Wreckage, New Report Says Federal officials have released more information about a small plane crash on Interstate 684 at the border of Fairfield, CT, and Westchester, NY counties.   The information, which centered on a fatal plane crash on I-684 on Thursday, Dec. 12, was released in a preliminary report by the National Transportation Safety Board on Tuesday, Dec. 31. Fire Damages Apartment Building In Sleepy Hollow A blaze at a Westchester apartment building was stopped from spreading thanks to quick action from firefighters.  The fire happened on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at an apartment building on Cedar Street in Sleepy Hollow, according to the Tarrytown Fire Department.  Arriving fire crews found a blaze in a third-floor apartment and began fighting off the flames.  The blaze was eventually contained and stopped from spreading further, firefighters said. Man Fatally Stabbed In New Year's Day Altercation In Westchester A 38-year-old man is dead following a stabbing during an early morning altercation in Westchester on New Year’s Day, police said. The incident happened in Yonkers on Wednesday, Jan. 1 just after 1:30 p.m., when officers found the victim at the entrance to 2 Hudson St., according to Yonkers Police Sgt. Car Goes Up In Flames On Sprain Brook Parkway In Greenburgh (Photos) An overnight vehicle fire sent a plume of smoke into the air on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Westchester.  The blaze happened on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh on Saturday, Dec. 28 just before 10:30 p.m., according to the Hartsdale Fire Department.  In photos released by firefighters, the vehicle was seen destroyed by the flames.  Details regarding injuries and the cause of the fire were not immediately available.
