Kevin Bacon Shoots TV Show At Rockefeller State Park Preserve

POCANTICO HILLS, N.Y. – Kevin Bacon’s newest TV show shut down eastbound Route 117 in Pocantico Hills on Tuesday morning as crews filmed at Rockefeller State Park Preserve.

Mount Pleasant police blocked the road from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. so crews could shoot scenes for “The Following,” which features Bacon as former FBI agent Ryan Hardy sent to help capture a notorious serial killer who has escaped from death row. Bacon’s character discovers the escaped killer is part of a cult of serial killers, according to a show synopsis from Warner Brothers. “The Following” is set to premiere in January.

Tuesday’s film shoot included several helicopters flying around the park and Route 117. A U.S. Marshal Service van was stationed just outside the park’s entrance.

Mount Pleasant town officials said filming had also taken place Monday at the Westchester County Jail.

“The Following” also filmed in downtown Bronxville in August.

Officials said no more filming was scheduled in Mount Pleasant. A request for information on the TV show and filming schedule sent to Warner Brothers has not yet been answered.
