New Details: Burglar Sexually Assaults Women During Break-Ins At Mastic Beach Homes, DA Says Prosecutors have released new details in a pair of violent home break-ins targeting elderly women on Long Island. Derrick Clancy, age 42, was formally charged in Suffolk County Court on Wednesday, Nov. 1, in connection with the alleged burglaries and assaults at two homes in Mastic Beach. According to investigators, Clancy got into the first home early on Tuesday, Oct. 10, by cutting a hole in a window screen and crawling through. Wedding Brawl: Man Bites Cop Trying To Break Up Fight At Saint James Venue, Police Say A 22-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly biting a police officer during a fight at a wedding venue on Long Island. Suffolk County Police were called at around 7:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, for a fight in Saint James, at the Flowerfield Celebrations venue on Mills Pond Road. Officers arrived to find several skirmishes that had broken out among the over 100 wedding guests.
