Long Island Teen Trio Nabbed In Stolen Vehicle, Police Say Three Long Island teens were arrested after a man noticed them allegedly driving his stolen vehicle. The incident took place around 11:10 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12, on the Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, a 37-year-old man was driving eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike near the intersection of Stone Street when he noticed a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe pulling into a Sunoco gas station.  The man believed the vehicle was the same one that he had previously reported stolen.
