ATV Crash: 26-Year-Old In Critical Condition, Suspect Charged With DWI After Brookhaven Wreck A Long Island man is facing DWI charges after he allegedly caused an ATV crash that sent a 26-year-old woman to the hospital. The crash happened at around 8 p.m. Saturday, June 10, in Brookhaven, on Bellport Avenue near Louise Avenue. Suffolk County Police said Tayquan Mayodunmore, age 29, of Bellport, was driving the ATV while intoxicated when the vehicle overturned. The crash caused his passenger, Jessilyn Johnson, of Medford, to strike her head on the pavement, police said. Suffolk Man Seriously Injured After Falling Off ATV, Police Say A Long Island man was seriously injured after he fell off an ATV, according to police. Joseph DeMarie, 45, was operating a Yamaha ATV without a helmet on Glen Summer Road in Holbrook when he apparently lost control of the vehicle and fell to the ground at approximately 11:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, Suffolk County Police said. DeMarie, of Holbrook, was transported via Holbrook Fire Department ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.
