Living In 'Squalor': Bayport Woman Nabbed For Housing 14 Cats, Dogs, Police Say A Long Island woman who allegedly allowed her dozens of animals to live in a feces- and mold-infested home has been arrested, police said. Laura Nordstrom, age 57 of Bayport, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 6, according to the Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). She faces multiple charges after officers claim she failed to provide a habitable home for her 14 cats and two dogs.
