Airborne Car Crashes Into Home In Region, Police Say An out-of-control car that went airborne after hitting an embankment struck a home in the region. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 30 on Route 9G in the town of Red Hook. According to Red Hook Police, the crash took place when a 2002 Subaru driven by a 41-year-old Catskills man was driving south on Walkers Hill Road when the car crossed into the northbound lane, struck an embankment, became airborne, and hit the home. The driver as well as a woman inside the home were not injured in the crash, police said. The unidentified driver was issued ticket…

36-Year-Old Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Region A 36-year-old was killed in a rollover crash in the region. The collision took place in Dutchess County around 5:15 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 10 in the area of 537 Salt Point Turnpike in the town of Hyde Park. According to Chief Robert Benson of the Hyde Park Police, Tyler J. McEnroe, of Millbrook, was driving a 1997 Subaru Hatchback when he lost control, overturned, and was partially ejected. McEnroe, the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, Benson said. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
