Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Director/Content, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 15 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations as the Managing Director/Content in the fall of 2017.

Rite Aid Plans To Close 400-Plus Stores, Report Says Rite Aid will close 400 to 500 stores as part of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization, according to a new report. The drugstore chain is now negotiating with creditors to formulate a bankruptcy plan that would include liquidating a substantial portion of its more than 2,100 drugstores, The Wall Street Journal says. Rite Aid is facing over $3 billion in debt and more than a thousand federal lawsuits alleging it oversupplied opioids, the report said. $1,000,000 Powerball Ticket In $748.3M Drawing Sold In NY New York is one of three states in which a second-place ticket worth $1 million for the Powerball drawing on Saturday, Sept. 23 was purchased. It was sold in Westchester County at Chestnut Mart on 69 Theodore Fremd Ave. in Rye. The two other $1M tickets were sold in California and Florida. There was no first-prize winner in the $748,300,000 drawing. The jackpot for the new drawing on Monday, Sept. 25 is now at $785,000,000.

Covid-19: Here's How To Order Free At-Home Tests Through Mail Now The federal program offering free COVID-19 rapid at-home tests through the mail has just been restarted. Every American household may order four of the tests starting Monday, Sept. 25 by visiting covid.gov/tests, the Department of Health and Human Services says. Woman From Region Caught With Child Porn, Police Say A woman from the region has been arrested after she was allegedly found to have child pornography. Following an ongoing investigation, Ulster County resident Jodi Judson, age 54, of Saugerties, was arrested on Monday, Sept. 18 and charged with possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, a felony. New Tropical Storm Forms In Active Atlantic: Here's Where Philippe's Headed Just as Ophelia barrels up the East Coast, a brand-new tropical storm has formed amid a flurry of activity in the Atlantic basin. Man Accused Of Using Counterfeit Currency At 10 Suffolk County Businesses A man has been accused of using counterfeit currency at 10 Long Island businesses.
