Fraternity's Roadside Cleanup Saturday In Spring Valley RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Members of a Rockland fraternity will be helping beautify their community this weekend by ridding it of unsightly litter and other debris. The Xi Lambda Lambda chapter of Omega Psi Phi, which has “adopted” Route 59 in Spring Valley, is looking for volunteers for a cleanup project tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 27. The third ambulance will arrive Saturday, Oct. 1, the occasion marked with a celebration called the "Triple Ambulance Wetdown," whereby a fire engine will "wet down the rigs," a spokesperson said. The trio were purchased with donations and Township capital. The festivities from 2 to 6 p.m. at Sheraton Crossroads, 1 International Blvd., will include a bouncy house for kids, food, a disc jockey and 50-50 raffle.
