Man Surrenders In Connection To Northern Westchester Shooting A Northern Westchester man is in police custody in connection to a morning shooting. The Ossining Police Department announced that Mario Mieles of Ossining turned himself in on Thursday night as the investigation into a shooting at approximately 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10 on Van Cortlandt Avenue. The shooting led to a road closure between North Highland and Cortlandt Place during the police investigation. Mieles’ victim remains hospitalized, police noted.
