Benjamin Franklin MS Hosts Fall Welcome Back Potluck TEANECK, N.J. — The teachers and administrators at the Benjamin Franklin Middle School are inviting parents and new students to come to their annual Welcome Back Potluck on Monday Sept. 21. Parents are invited to bring a dish as they learn more about the school and enjoy a light meal, while meeting the administrators as well as some current students and other incoming parents and students. I-84 Crash Sends Three to Hospital BEACON, NY – The east and westbound lanes of I-84 east of Exit 11 were closed for more than an hour early Friday morning following a two car accident that sent three people, including one child, to the hospital, according to New York state police.An investigation revealed that a 2003 Chevrolet Impala operated by Peter Mosen, 64 years old, of Walden, New York, was traveling westbound on Interstate 84.  A second westbound vehicle, operated by 28-year-old Jason Vargas of Chicopee, Massachusetts, was traveling at a high rate of speed, police said.  Vargas lost control of his vehicle and struck …

Three Charged With Items Reported Stolen From Home, Yorktown Police Say YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown police charged three people with criminal possession of stolen property after an officer on patrol reported seeing a car that was linked to an earlier crime in the area.  When the officer stopped the suspected car Friday Sept. 11, he said the three were in possession of items that had been reported stolen from a residence on Country Place earlier that evening.  Angela Ball, 19 of Mahopac, Jason Van Dunk, 41 of Mohegan Lake, and Julia Sidden, 28 of Mohegan Lake, each were charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.  Van Dunk also was charged …
