Inmate Charged With Harassing Downstate Correctional Facility Employee FISHKILL, New York – The New York State Police charged a former inmate of the Downstate Correctional Facility with a Class E felony following an investigation into allegations of the inmate harassing a corrections officer working at the facility. According to the New York State Police, in January of 2015, BCI Investigators were advised by Downstate Correctional Facility officials that Anthony Robinson, 27, had thrown urine at a correction officer who was conducting security rounds. Rash Of Shootings In Yonkers Have Police Decrying The Violence YONKERS, New York - Officials in Yonkers have had enough of the violence after a rash of shootings have taken place across the city. The most recent incident, a shooting at around 12:30 a.m. Friday at a Burger King on Central Avenue, left a well known pitcher in the hospital in critical condition with injuries to his arm and head. Mohegan Lake Man Charged With Speeding In Yorktown YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A 21-year-old man from Mohegan Lake was charged with several motor vehicle infractions after being stopped by police Friday, Sept. 18. A Yorktown police officer stopped Collin Glenn Jr. during a regular patrol after reportedly seeing him speeding on Route 132. Further investigation determined Glenn was driving with a revoked New York State license, police said. Glenn was charged with unreasonable speeding, aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to signal. He was released on $100 bail and is due back Oct. 22 in Yorktown Justice Court.

Wilton Mom Charged With Leaving Kids Alone In Public Place WILTON, Conn. - Wilton police were called to a home on Danbury Road on Friday afternoon, after neighbors called to report that two children were playing unsupervised in a grassy area by the Avalon Complex.When an officer arrived, he saw an 8- and 6-year-old were playing near the street by the complex, police said. Wilton Police Use Spike Strips To Stop Man At Ridgefield Border WILTON, Conn. — An attempt to stop a car regarding a broken tail light turned into a chase that ended on the Wilton-Ridgefield border with the Wilton police needing to use spike strips to stop the fleeing car on Friday Sept. 17, police said. Sing Sing Correction Officer Charged With Striking Inmate OSSINGING, N.Y. – An officer at Sing Sing Correctional Facility was charged Tuesday following a several-month investigation into allegations he struck a male inmate. According to the New York State Police, troopers were contacted in May to investigate an allegation of excessive force used by one of the corrections officers.
