Woman Rushed To Nyack Hospital After Being Hit By Train In Pearl River ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A woman who was standing near the right-of-way at the Pearl River station was struck by a commuter train Saturday, according to Metro-North and NJ Transit. The unidentified woman suffered a head injury after she was hit around 6:38 p.m., Metro-North said. She was taken to Nyack Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, where she was treated and released, Metro-North said. Chihuahua Hit By Car In Putnam Reunited With Owner BREWSTER, N.Y. – A little Chihuahua who had been hit by a car in Brewster last week has been reunited with his owner, say the folks at the Putnam Humane Society. The blue bandana-wearing pooch was rescued by a good Samaritan after it had been hurt on Route 312. He was taken to the Brook Farm Veterinary Center in Patterson for treatment. The owner was located after the humane society posted his photo on its Facebook page.
