ELMSFORD, N.Y. – What’s better than a “Diamond” for Valentine’s Day, say the folks at Paws Crossed Animal Rescue in Elmsford where one such gem is looking for a forever home.
The 6-year-old Shar Pei mix embodies the “four C’s” everyone looks for in a diamond. No, not as in carat, cut, clarity, and color, but in cuteness, cuddliness, charisma, and charm, they say.
“Diamond is an absolute sweetheart” said Jennifer Angelucci, Paws Crossed’s president and CEO.

College Student From Ridgefield Helps Thwart Art Heist After Super Bowl
Two local college students — one from Ridgefield and one from Shelton — along with a classmate, are being hailed for thwarting an attempted heist at a Boston art gallery, according to The Boston Globe.
Mackenzie Thompson, 21, of Shelton; Chris Savino, 21, of Ridgefield; and Jesse Doe, 22, of Belmont, Mass., all seniors at Boston University, were walking back to their dorms after attending a Super Bowl party on Sunday, Feb. 5, when they spotted a man on the street carrying several works of art, The Boston Globe reported.
