22-Year-Old Shot In Broad Daylight In Hudson Valley Police are searching for a suspect after a 22-year-old man was shot on a street in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 11:45 a.m., Saturday, June 8, in the city of Poughkeepsie. According to the city of Poughkeepsie Police, officers responded to the area of Main Street and N White Street to a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they located numerous spent shell casings but no victims. Shootings, Assaults, Lost Child Keep Officers On Run In Poughkeepsie Instead of watching fireworks on Sunday, July 4, officers with the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department were busy running from one call to another including shots fired, officer assaulted, and a lost child.  Shots fired: The day started early around 7:30 a.m. when officers on patrol were flagged down by employees of Family Dollar at 412 Main Street. Employees said that the building had been struck by gunfire and several windows had been damaged.
