Fire Breaks Out In Ceiling Of Ice Rink At Palisades Center A fire broke out in the ceiling of the ice rink at the Palisades Center in Rockland County on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 6, bringing firefighters to the busy shopping mall.  The blaze began at around 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the West Nyack Fire Department.  The first crews to arrive found smoke coming from the ice rink and discovered a fire burning in the ceiling.  Firefighters then stretched a hose line and extinguished the flames before checking the area to make sure the fire had not spread, according to the department.  Crews remained at the scene for ab…
