Authorities in a Westchester County city are searching for suspects involved in two robberies that happened on the same evening at a residence and storefront.
The incidents both happened in New Rochelle on Saturday evening, Oct. 5, the city's police department announced on Monday, Oct. 7.
The first of the robberies happened around 9:30 p.m., when an Edgewood Park resident was assaulted and robbed while working on his car in his Lockwood Avenue driveway.

Police Issue Alert For Man Who Snuck Out Of Assisted Living Facility In New Rochelle
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who they say snuck out of an assisted living facility in Westchester County.
William “Bill” Allen, age 66, was last seen at his New Rochelle home, located on Lockwood Avenue, at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, when he “absconded” from the facility, police said.
Originally from the Yorktown area, Allen suffers from schizophrenia and alcohol abuse, according to police.

Wanted Man Arrested With Illegal, Loaded Glock In New Rochelle
A wanted man is in police custody after being busted with an illegal, loaded weapon in Westchester, authorities announced.
The New Rochelle Police Department received a tip at approximately 7:47 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25 that a man with an active arrest warrant in Yonkers had gotten into a vehicle at the intersection of North Avenue and Lockwood Avenue.
Officers tracked down the suspect vehicle on North Avenue, and during the stop, it was determined that the driver, Jamaal Solaam Anderson, age 39, of Eutawville, South Carolina, had a warrant out of Yonkers for harassment.
