Arena was born July 14, 1930, in the Bronx, to Paul and Rose (Cirrigione) Arena. He graduated from Evander Childs High School in the Bronx and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a facilities manager for Tetko, Inc. in Briarcliff Manor for over 20 years, before retiring in 2000.
Arena is survived by his wife, Elda; children, Doreen R. Pircio of Norwalk, Conn., Paul A. Arena of Bethel, Conn., Donna M. Silva of Pawling and Anthony J. Arena (Gina) of Norwalk, Conn.; sister, Josephine Durso of Spring Hill, Fla.; and nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Arena; and sisters, Connie Bettini and Rosalie Pollaci.
Calling hours are Monday, Nov. 24 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South St., Patterson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25 at St. John's Church, Pawling. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Danbury, Conn.
