Train service on Amtrak's Northeast Regional and Acela Express lines was partially restored between  Penn Station and New Rochelle Wednesday afternoon after a CSX train derailed in the Bronx Wednesday morning.

Passengers traveling through the area should expect residual delays as service levels return to normal, Amtrak said at 12:30 p.m.

About eight CSX train cars derailed at the Oak Point rail yard in Hunts Point at about 9:15 a.m., company spokesman Rob Doolittle said in a statement.

No injuries were reported.
