Medical Emergency Leads To Crash, Road Closure On Long Island, Police Say Police on Long Island are investigating and asking for witnesses to a crash following a medical emergency suffered by the driver. The incident occurred in Quogue around 6:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 13 on the Montauk Highway near the intersection of Catbrier Road. According to Quogue Chief of Police Christopher Isola, responding officers arrived and found a pickup truck in the woods with a 71-year-old man in the driver seat suffering an apparent medical emergency. Man Charged With DWI After Head-On LI Crash That Seriously Injured Driver A 40-year-old man was arrested and accused of driving while impaired after a head-on, two-vehicle crash that seriously injured a driver on Long Island. Officers responded to a report of a crash near the intersection of Montauk Highway and Quogue Street East at about 2:40 p.m. on Friday, March 4, according to the Quogue Village Police Department.
