45-Year-Old Killed After Being Struck By Car At Long Island Intersection Police are investigating a fatal crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened around 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5 in Copiague. Baudilio Zamora, age 45, of Copiague, was crossing Sunrise Highway southbound at the intersection of Bethpage Road when he was struck by a 2019 Nissan Altima being driven by a 33-year-old Hicksville man, Suffolk County Police said. Zamora was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Officer of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.  The Altima driver was not injured. The suspect nabbed the merchandise from the Home Depot on Sunrise Highway in Copiague at around 7 p.m. Saturday, April 2, Suffolk County police said. The wiring was valued at approximately $1,650, according to police. Joseph Mancuso, age 48, of Central Islip, was arrested around 5:15 p.m., Monday, Jan. 25, when Suffolk County Police responded to The Home Depot, located at 1101 Sunrise Highway, in Copiague, following a 911 call reporting a man carrying a handgun in the parking lot. When officers arrived at the scene, they located Mancuso and placed him under arrest. Long Island Man Posing As Amazon Employee Attempted To Scam Nearly $20K A Long Island man was arrest for attempting to scam nearly $20,000 from an out-of-state resident. The victim, an 89-year-old man who lives in Jackson, Mississippi, was contacted by an individual claiming to be an Amazon employee, Suffolk County Police said.  The individual attempted to convince the victim thousands of dollars had been inadvertently refunded to his account from Amazon, according to police.
