Man Nabbed On Weapons Charge After Fleeing From Cops In Nassau, Police Say Police on Long Island arrested a Connecticut man for alleged criminal possession of a weapon after he attempted to flee from police during a traffic stop. Nassau County Police arrested the 25-year-old just before 4 p.m., Friday, June 11, for criminal possession of a weapon after he refused to cooperate with police during a traffic stop in Plainview. According to detectives, officers observed a man driving a 2016 Yamaha motorcycle on Sunnyside Boulevard with an improperly displayed license plate.
