Man Hit By BMW, Shot Behind Row Of Long Island Businesses Police are investigating an incident during which a man was struck by a vehicle and then shot, leading to school lockouts on Long Island. According to detectives, the incident took place around 10:20 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11, in Patchogue, said the Suffolk County Police. During the incident, a 35-year-old man was struck by a BMW and then shot by the driver of the vehicle.  Detectives believe the incident is related to an earlier dispute, police said. Suspect At Large After Stolen Car Left Running At Long Island 7-Eleven Police are looking for a suspect in the theft of a 2005 red Corvette from a Coram 7-Eleven parking lot. The incident took place Friday, Oct. 11, after a man walked into the store on Route 112, leaving the keys in the ignition, said the Suffolk County Police. A security camera at the store captures a man walking up the car and then the camera freezes. The Corvette's license plate says L-I-2-4-7-TOWING. Police are asking anyone with information to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
