Nassau County Man Accused Of Robbing Long Island Bank A suspect has been charged after a midday bank robbery on Long Island earlier this month. It happened Saturday, Oct. 2 in Smithtown. The suspect entered TD Bank, located at 714 Smithtown Bypass, at approximately 11:50 a.m. and handed a teller a note indicating he had a gun and demanding cash, Suffolk County Police said.  The teller complied with the suspect’s demands and gave him cash from the drawer, according to police. Police: Man Arrested After Bank Robbery In Nassau County With Child In Car A 40-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly robbing a Long Island bank and attempting to flee with his 3-year-old child in the car, police said. Suffolk County resident Philip Ferrito, age 40, of Smithtown allegedly robbed the Bethpage TD Bank in Nassau County shortly after 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6. It is alleged that Ferrito approached a teller at the bank and passed a note demanding money, to which to teller complied, while Ferrito received an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing to his vehicle.
