Boil Water Advisory Extended In Long Beach After E. Coli Found The Nassau County Department of Health has extended its boil water alert for Long Beach into Monday, June 24 after the bacteria E. coli was detected in the city's water supply. Only boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food, until further notice, the city said in a statement.
