After spending weeks in the hospital and undergoing open heart surgery, a 4-year-old Long Island boy is finally back home after he suffered cardiac arrest at a local business. Ocean swimming in Nassau County has been temporarily suspended after the latest shark sighting off the shore of a local beach. The latest shark sighting - at least the fifth in the past few days - was spotted off Nickerson Beach at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, officials said. $1.2M Of Heroin Seized, 15 Indicted For Running Operation Tied To Three Long Island Fatal ODs
Fifteen people - including three major drug traffickers - have been indicted for their roles in an alleged massive drug operation that spanned Nassau, Suffolk, Kings and Queens counties, the Nassau County District Attorney announced. Nassau County District Attorney announced the arrests on Tuesday, Dec. 17, following an investigation into a drug operation that allegedly sold heroin to customers from Nassau, Suffolk and New York City. New Ethics Rules Enacted In Nassau County
County officials have introduced changes that will make doing business with Nassau more transparent and improve efficiency into the claims process. The first-of-its-kind code of ethics and a business-friendly vendor portal was introduced to an event the county hosted for vendors Thursday, June 6.
