ID Released After Body Of Teen Found On Long Island Beach Police detectives have identified a body that washed ashore on a Long Island Beach. The body found at Cupsogue County Park around 1:20 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 2, has been identified as Joseph Rera, 16, of Center Moriches, said the Suffolk County Police. Rera was reported missing while fishing at the location on Friday, Nov. 6, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. The Coast Guard said Rera was swept into the water near the Moriches Inlet while fishing near Dune Road.
