Long Island Bloods Gang Leader Sentenced For Drug Distribution, Shooting
A “high-ranking member” of a prominent Long Island gang has been sentenced for his role in distributing crack cocaine and a pair of shootings in Suffolk County. Michael Smith, also known as “Bum Jew,” has been sentenced to 20 years in prison at the federal courthouse in Central Islip after previously pleading guilty nearly four years ago. According to U.S. Attorney Richard Donoghue, between January 2008 and January 2014, while a high-ranking member of the Bloods, Smith processed and distributed kilograms of cocaine base in Suffolk County.
