Alleged Serial Robber Caught Following Chase In North Lawrence, Police Say A homeless man accused of stealing from multiple Long Island stores was arrested after a foot chase during which authorities say he injured an officer. It happened on Tuesday, March 12 in North Lawrence, according to Nassau County Police. Just before 6 p.m., 44-year-old William B. Foster walked into the Marshalls located at 345 Rockaway Turnpike. The loss prevention officer at the store reportedly recognized Foster from a previous theft at the store and contacted the police. Kitchen Products Sold Nationwide Recalled Due To Injury Concerns, Reports Of 'Severe Cuts' Nearly 500,000 juicers are being recalled after reports of hundreds of malfunctions reported by consumers, some of which included injuries that required emergency treatment, according to federal officials.  The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that Empower Brands is recalling approximately 469,000 Power XL Self-Cleaning Juicers due to both laceration and ingestion hazards. Shoplifter Who Made Off With $24K In Goods Nabbed In Nassau County, Police Say An 18-year-old man who has made off with almost $24,000 in goods from numerous Long Island department stores has been captured by police. Maki Davis, age 18, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 16, by Nassau County Police following a six-month investigation. The larcenies, all within Nassau County began in June and continued until his arrest, police said. Busy Duo Stole $15k Worth Of Merch From 14 Nassau County Stores, Police Say Two men are behind bars after allegedly going on a shoplifting spree that netted them thousands of dollars in merchandise from numerous Long Island stores. Oreall Thomas, age 47, and Shaun Williams, age 52, both of Freeport, were arrested Monday, Dec. 12, on charges of grand larceny, Nassau County Police said. Officers had been called to the TJ MAXX store in Carle Place, located on Glen Cove Road, with reports of a theft. Man, Women Wanted For Stealing From Long Island Department Store Police are asking for help in finding a trio who stole $500 worth of clothing from a Long Island store.  On Saturday, Oct. 22, around 5:30 p.m., a man and two women took assorted clothing items from a Marshalls in East Islip located at 2650 Sunrise Highway, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers.  Anyone with information is asked to call and leave an anonymous tip at 1-800-220-TIPS.  This is a developing story. Trio Accused Stealing More Than $10K In Merchandise From Nassau County Stores Three people are facing charges after police said they stole more than $10,000 worth of merchandise from Long Island stores. Rodney Galloway, age 53, of Westbury,  Michele Brown, age 24, of Baldwin, and Willie White, age 55, of Hempstead, were arrested at 1:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 21, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
