Locust Valley Woman Accused Of Setting Fire At Group Home Six residents and two staffers have been displaced from a group home on Long Island after a woman allegedly set fire to a mattress. The Nassau County Police Arson Bomb Squad said the incident took place around 1 a.m., Friday, Jan. 26 in Locust Valley. Apartments Damaged After Fire Breaks Out In Nassau County Several residences were damaged and multiple people were displaced after a fire broke out at a Long Island apartment complex, police said. According to officials, the fire started at approximately 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 1 at one of the units in the Eagle Rock apartment complex on Pond Road in Woodbury in Nassau County.
