In Suffolk County, Southold Police Chief Martin Flatley said a 34-year-old victim from Laurel suffered an overdose at his home, but was revived with Narcan. Boater Injured By Propeller After Leaving Boat In Gear, Police Say A 57-year-old man suffered serious injuries after he was struck by the propeller of an 18-foot boat that he had rented for the day in Great Peconic Bay off Laurel. The incident took place around 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20, when the man, identified as Stefan Palm, a visitor from Germany, entered the water to take a turn on a water tube and failed to realize that the boat had been left in gear, said the Southhold Police Department.
