Covid-19: State Park Family Passes Will Be Given To NYers Who Get Vaxed Through Memorial Day New York is “taking a shot in the park” to encourage New Yorkers to go out and get the COVID-19 vaccine. Any New Yorker who receives a COVID-19 vaccination this week will receive a free two-day family pass to visit any state park, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced at a briefing on Monday, May 24 at Jones Beach in advance of Memorial Day Weekend. Anyone vaccinated between Monday, May 24, and Monday, May 31 will be eligible to receive passes. Body Of LI Man Who Fell Off Boat In Great South Bay Found The body of an East Islip man who had fallen overboard from his 34-foot Fountain boat has been found. Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of Samuel Gutierrez, 47, whose body was found floating in the Great South Bay, just south of Timber Point, said the Suffolk County Police. The department received word of a body floating from a 911 caller around 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25, police said. Gutierrez fell overboard without a life jacket around 11 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23.
