A Long Island man’s death, which left “an unfillable void,” has prompted the community to gather and provide support to his widow and three children.
Jimmy Berry of Williston Park died on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at age 42, according to his friends.
A devoted father and husband — “he would run through a wall for those around him,” said friend Brian McDevitt — Jimmy leaves behind his wife Kerri and their three children, ages 12-year-old Mason, 9-year-old Molly, and 6-year-old Grace.

Support is pouring in for the family of a “bashful, happy” 7-month-old boy from Long Island battling leukemia.
Manorville’s Carmine Gary Martino was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, a type of blood cancer, in early December 2022, according to a GoFundMe campaign created by his grandmother, Colleen Martino.
She said the diagnosis came after the boy spent two weeks in and out of the hospital with a high fever, low blood counts, transfusions, and biopsies.
