24-Year-Old Seriously Injured After Being Struck By School Bus In Hempstead
A 24-year-old suffered severe injuries after being struck by a school bus at a Long Island intersection. The incident happened Monday, Feb. 6 at 6:40 a.m. in Hempstead. The pedestrian was walking southbound on Front Street near the intersection of North Franklin Street when he was struck by the bus traveling eastbound on Front Street, Nassau County Police said. A 26-year-old man is facing charges after authorities said he struck a police vehicle and injured officers while fleeing a traffic stop. Keshav Mahadeo was arrested for an incident that happened at about 3:20 a.m. in Hempstead on Saturday, Sept. 17, the Nassau County Police Department said. A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle on Long Island. The woman was struck about 11:45 p.m., Sunday, May 30 while crossing the roadway Front Street in Hempstead, said the Nassau County Police.
