Wrong-Way LIE Driver Was High On Drugs, Suffolk Police Say Suffolk County Police arrested a man for driving while ability impaired by drugs after he drove the wrong way on the Long Island Expressway. Highway Patrol officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a car traveling westbound on the eastbound side of the Long Island Expressway near Exit 70 at approximately 12:15 a.m., according to Suffolk County Police. When officers arrived they reportedly observed a 2017 Lincoln sedan traveling the wrong way and initiated a traffic stop between Exit 68 and Exit 69, said the police report.
