Her death followed a “courageous” nine-month battle with triple-negative metastatic breast cancer, according to a GoFundMe created by relatives. ID Released For 24-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Pickup Truck In Hit-Run South Farmingdale Crash The identity has been released of a victim in a hit-and-run Long Island crash. The crash happened around 3:40 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 28  in South Farmingdale in the area of 116 Merrits Road. Responding Nassau County Police officers found a man lying in the roadway with severe head trauma. Calogero Messina, of Astoria, Queens, was arrested for an incident that happened in Farmingdale at about 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
