Girl, 10, Headed For Ice Cream Truck Struck By Car In New Hyde Park A 10-year-old Long Island girl was seriously injured after being hit by a car as she pedaled her bike to an ice cream truck. The crash took place in New Hyde Park around 6 p.m., on Wednesday, May 11. According to detectives, a 20-year-old woman was driving a 2020 Hyundai Elantra northbound on N 11th Street at Park Avenue when she hit the girl who was riding her bicycle across the roadway toward an ice cream truck.  The girl was transported to North Shore LIJ Cohens Children’s Hospital for treatment of her injuries.  The driver remained on the scene.   No other injurie…

LIE Crash In Nassau County Leaves One Critically Injured An overnight crash on the Long Island Expressway left one person in critical condition, police said. It happened around 2:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9 in North Hills, near exit 36 westbound. There were three occupants in a red 2020 Hyundai Elantra that overturned, Nassau County Police said. Two of whom were transported by separate vehicles to a nearby hospital. According to police, on Thursday morning, one of the two hospitalized passengers was listed in critical condition. It is unclear what caused the crash.
