ID Released For Woman Killed After Being Struck By Car Near Long Island Intersection
The identity has been released of a woman who was killed after being struck by a car near an intersection on Long Island overnight.
The incident happened on Thursday, Dec. 17 at approximately 12:30 a.m. in Bellport.
Lloyd Richards, age 26, of Bellport, was driving a 2009 Honda Civic eastbound on Brookhaven Avenue, 50 feet east of Station Road, when the vehicle struck the pedestrian in the roadway, Suffolk County Police said.

Long Island Teen Charged With DWI Following Crash That Injured Two Passengers
A 19-year-old was arrested for alleged DWI following a crash that injured two of his passengers on Long Island.
The incident took place around 1:15 .m., Saturday, Oct. 31 in Southampton on Deerfield Road, said Lt. Susan C. Ralph.
According to Ralph, when police arrived on the scene of the crash they found a 2009 Honda Civic, with four passengers, had overturned.
The driver, Logan Gates, of Southampton, told officers swerved to avoid a deer, Ralph said.

A driver was killed and a passenger critically injured in a single-vehicle crash on Long Island overnight.
It happened Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020 at approximately 9:50 p.m. in Middle Island.
Jesse Ahern, 38, of Center Moriches, was driving a 2009 Honda Civic northbound on West Bartlett Road, south of East Bartlett Road, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a fire hydrant and a tree, Suffolk County Police said.
Ahern was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead.
